Happy National Iced Tea Day everyone! I’m avidly keeping track of what national holiday each day holds. (Tomorrow is Hug Holiday, so get out there and hug someone! Do it like you mean it.)

Umstead Park was my retreat for an hour or so this morning. I love that place. Most everyone was so kind and friendly on the trails, but toward the end of my hike, 3 ladies were sent my way for entertaining purposes. Of sorts. They discussed everything from divorce, politics, exercise, the new area code addition, etc. in great detail. In my attempt to mall-walk myself away from them, my socks slipped and I now have what I’m calling “walking war wounds”.

Wrapping up the day of great activity (hiking, massages, car washing, chasing small children) with Mad Men. Happy Girl.

I am thankful for: compromises, lens caps, photography, and fro-yo.
