Hopping Along..

DAY 165

“The question is not what you look at, but what you see.” – Henry David Thoreau

“You must find the place inside yourself where nothing is impossible.” – Deepak Chopra

For the second time this week, I’ve seen a frog. The first time, I found the little guy on the driveway and wasn’t freaked out. In fact, I tried to take his picture, but he hopped away. Today, however, I screamed a little. The frog was smaller, but much more active. Not to mention, he was trying to hop away from the possibility of being kept in a little jar. The jar won.

The greatest news of today? The delivery of new photography tips & tricks. I purchased a Tamara Lackey book/DVD combo earlier this week and am so stoked to delve into the material at some point this weekend! If you’re interested, this is the link to the products I got. Her DVD and book Capturing Life Through (Better) Photography.

If you live anywhere near the Triangle (in NC), I’ve stumbled across an event where a ton of local food trucks are going to get together on Father’s Day in downtown Durham for a “food truck rodeo” – complete with live music! It sounds exciting, so I’ve enrolled my entire family to join me in checking it out.

For families with kids and/or people who like trains..Spencer Train Museum is hosting an event this weekend as well (June 16-17). It will be a rare chance to ride behind a coal-steam locomotive. I have many fond memories from visiting Spencer when I was younger, and would highly recommend making a visit at some point, if not this weekend.

I am thankful for: beautiful morning and afternoon drives. And Legos.
