I’m In The Country Now..

DAY 189

Hey y’all! That feels like the most appropriate thing to say after all the Southern accents I’ve heard today.

We had a great tour of The Forbidden Caverns this morning! (I really wish I had a clip of my dad saying the name of the place. It’s priceless!) We saw stalagmites, stalactites, stone columns, and a stream! I think everyone managed to get a cave kiss..considered good luck.

The caves also featured legendary tales by Native Americans, artifacts that had been discovered, moonshine equipment from way back when, a floodlight leading the way to the original entrance – 200 feet up, onyx, & 58 degree temperatures all year round.

We went to the Applewood Farm Grill for dinner. An old family favorite. This time around we even stopped by the winery. There were neat finds around every corner. And they had some interesting creations!

I am thankful for: lights. And apples.
