He’s In the Nest..

I witnessed one of the most perfectly hilarious, sweet, and touching weddings today. There were so many personal touches and little details that made the day. But not only that, there were so many great people at the wedding. I think it speaks volumes about people when they are surrounded by so much love, appreciation, & kindness. I’m so grateful to have such wonderful people in my life. One of whom happens to be a sprightly young boy. It was his aunt’s wedding, and he was my date! We had a blast and even got a workout – we must have run/walked/jogged the length of the driving range at least 5 times. He helped me take the picture of the pink cloud that looks like a distant mountain.

Oh, he’s also responsible for the quote that I’ve used as the title. He has a DVD of Christmas songs, which he wanted to watch this afternoon. There was a scene of baby Jesus in the manger and M said, “He’s in the nest, Brittany!”

I am thankful for: the people in my life.

A day that started out not so great, turned out to be wonderful! I met some of the sweetest and funniest people in clinic today! I also found out I’m booked out a few weeks already, which is super encouraging for me as a budding massage therapist. I couldn’t be more happy with this feeling that I’ve chosen the absolute best path for my life.

The picture is of part of a new dress I got. It has birdies!!

I am thankful for: the opportunity to re-type words (took me like 8 tries to type “for”).

Let me tell you.. If you want a sure-fire way to get some handshake practice in, have your mom introduce you around her office! It was pretty comical to see me walking around the winding hallways of SAS today. Met some great peeps though! And was reminded of this recent Youtube discovery a friend introduced me to. Enjoy! Your life will never be the same : )

I am thankful for: raindrops!

Yes, ’twas a day of yet another froggy sighting. And dude was bloated. I’m not sure what was going on there, but I hope he’s ok! I’m sure M does as well. He was so concerned for little Mr. Frog that he attempted to toss pine needles over the pool fence for his snack. It was so sweet!

Fast forward quite a few hours, and..

Why, might you ask, is Simba flying solo on my keychain tonight? Well dearest ladies and gents, the short version (which you want – trust me) is that my car is having issues. Yes, sadly Bubbles the car hath been towed away before my very own eyeballs this evening in light of some sort of to-be-determined malfunction. Not to worry – she will be saved!! But I can’t understand for the life of me why I get emotional over such things as seeing my car towed away. Please tell me I’m not the only one! And on that note..

I am thankful for: things that “ain’t” broke!

Starting the day off with a gorgeous sunrise? Don’t mind if I [did]!

As for the rest of the day, it was awesome! Spent the day being silly and the night being serious. I’m off to catch some Zzz’s.

I am thankful for: the characters of my life.

..And you’d be correct! I’m currently viewing the Olympic Closing Ceremony. Yet another few hours of me feeling like there is nothing but good in this world! I’m only a tad optimistic. : )

Check this out – there was an article featuring the recent “ruins” of the Athens Olympic arenas. Seen here. It’s pretty wild to think that these places are so deserted and neglected knowing that they once were the place of great debuts, performances, and records.

Another great discovery I made via the Olympic Games was Phillip Phillips’ song “Home”. Have a listen!

The photo is of my view for the ceremony tonight. Finishing up cleaning the last corner of my room and studying, woohoo!

I am thankful for: unity.
